LOCAL COMMUNITY

Arad is a small and cozy city located in the western part of Romania, having a total of population of 159,704 people, where the MFOTB volunteers had their activities. 

One of the main objectives of the MFOTB volunteers was to integrate into the local community and promote a healthier lifestyle. Although it is a small city, you can find almost everything you need here, starting from markets that host local producers, international supermarkets, parks, night life, pubs, cultural events and so on.

MFOTB volunteers took advantage of everything that came up so they can meet the locals and create a strong bond with them in order to achieve their targets. They attended many cultural nights and more important, the EVS volunteers organized intercultural evenings so they can share experiences and learn from local volunteers.
